1.Follicular lymphoma (FL) is a common type of non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma. Morphologically, it is characterized by neoplastic proliferation of germinal center B-cells. Follicular structures are typically present at least in part of the lesion, while a diffuse growth pattern can also be observed.
2.BCL2 is an anti-apoptotic gene located at 18q21. Approximately 80% of FL cases harbor the BCL2/IGH rearrangement. The presence of this rearrangement is associated with reduced survival and serves as an indicator of poor prognosis.
